Shallow Stump Grind Over Underground Utilities Done Right

Not every stump job is a straight grind-and-go. When there are utilities running underneath, you have to slow down and think before you start cutting. That's exactly what we were dealing with here - a large stump sitting right in the danger zone.

The utility infrastructure underneath meant a full-depth grind was off the table. So we did a shallow grind instead. Enough to eliminate the eyesore and make the area safe, without risking damage to what's running below ground. It's one of those jobs where knowing what NOT to do matters just as much as knowing what to do.

This is where experience counts. A lot of operators would either avoid the job entirely or push through without thinking it through. We don't do either. We assess the site, plan the approach, and execute in a way that protects the property and the people living there.

The finished area is covered in clean wood chips, the stump is gone, and nothing underground was touched. That's the goal on every job like this - clean results with zero collateral damage.
